Acts 11:26
… And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
In other words, Christians are disciples! Not some lower version of the form, but we are all disciples of Christ.
The above name change was not meant to dilute the believers, meaning, the same life, same exploits, same standards that the disciples of Christ experienced and enjoyed, is what every believer should be experiencing and enjoying to date, this is not for some reserved exclusive group, but for every believer.
So, what is being a disciple or Christian all about: Discipleship or Christianity is the art of being like Jesus.
Acts 4:13
… they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
Peter and Johns behaviour and speech was eerily like that of Jesus, it was so shocking to these men that it was as though Jesus was standing right there in front of them.
The art of being like Jesus should be the end goal of every believer, including you and me!
Blessings.
