Leviticus 18:1-3
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the Lord your God. After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
I find this scripture so touching because it’s often so true, in my past life, working in the professional world. I met numerous Christians, whom you would never guess that they are children of God, unless they told. They looked, sounded, behaved, dreamt, desired and lived like the children of the world.
I often find that when God shifts us from one level to another, we almost always are tempted with compromising our standards to try to fit in with the new group of people we meet in the new level that God has lifted us to… “though you are in the world, you are not of it…”
Many Christians have lost their intimate walk with God because they tried to fit in, so when you change levels from high school to university, university to the working world, poverty to wealth, etc. Do not be tempted to compromise your faith and you intimate relationship with your God…”what shall it profit you, if you gain the whole world, and lose your soul?…”
Be Blessed
